Our Background

In 1996 the STEP Foundation was established in the Netherlands. The purpose of the Foundation is to improve the quality of life for people affected by conflict. It aims to achieve this through personal development programs that will provide people with equal opportunities in life; economically as well as personally. Our goal is to help communities by addressing their needs.

In the year 2000 STEP International was registered as a NGO (Non-Government Organization) in the West Bank.

In this globalized world connecting internationally is essential; whether it is for family ties, for business reasons, or for educational purposes. Connecting is not a luxury but a necessity. This is the reason English Teaching was one of the first programs initiated by STEP International.

In this part of the world there is a great need for economic development and sustainable growth. STEP International was created as a flexible platform in order to support various programs and initiatives. In this way the foundation hopes to meet the continuously changing needs and demands of the local Palestinian people.
